My sad, sad attempt at chocolate mustaches without using a mold. Yes, I tried to freehand some mustaches onto parchment paper using a piping bag and melted chocolate. I then went out and bought a mold. Next time, I'll be ready! (quoting "Home Alone" in case you missed that)

Super cute cupcakes, even if they did mess up (again) on them. Supposed to say, "Stache Bash". Oh well.

Made these invitations for my youngest daughters birthday party. She gets her love of mustaches from her aunt ;)

Almost Christmas time!!

Nothing tells me that the holidays are closer than the arrival of Egg Nog. And guess what that means? It means that I get to have my very special super duper favorite drink of all time!! Egg Nog spiced Chai Latte!! Yummy. Seriously. Best thing that has EVER been in my mouth! We used Stampin' Up!s new scented embossing powder on this card, "Sugar and Spice" (get more info on it HERE) so when the recipient opens the envelope, they smell the goodness. Pretty simple card, love those frame dies, the possibilities are endless with them! See the whole SU collection of framelits HERE

Wedding gift wall art

Made this for a friend of mine who had some young family members getting married soon. She said grey, cream, & a deep red, gave me a couple of pictures, and set me free! I chose to use some old cedar planks as the base, it has a great coloring (almost grey) to it without me having to do anything.

I think this is my favorite part of it. I found this great old handle, sanded it, and put her on there. I love wall art with 3D stuff. When they hang this in their home, the tags (made from sheet music, stamped on, spritzed with a 'starfish' glimmer mist, then hung on the handle with misc. ribbon) will freely hang/dangle. Each tag says something different so depending on the angle you look at it, you'll see something different. I stamped the swirls & birds (SU) in black and found some great old buttons for the corner. The hearts are chipboard that I covered with paper and distressed.

Dominoes and a doily... can't go wrong! Throw in another great button, some hat pins, and pearls and you've got a stylish chic corner. I stamped and heat embossed the "MR" and the "MRS" in black, and did the "&" in white.

If we weren't friends, I wouldn't admit to busting up my finger making this project. I used beer & root beer bottle caps for this. I took them outside to flatten with a hammer in the driveway. Let's just say I missed the cap once. Ouch. I did mess up on this. Twice. Let's not play "find the mistakes" though, K?! I absolutely loved how it turned out, wish they were pictures of me & hubby so I could hang it up in my home, oh well. Congrats you two!!

Distress Watercolor Dry Embossing

Came across this tutorial today at SplitCoastStampers (LOVE them!!). It looked so incredible I had to clean my craft room so I could get inky.

I got to use my new SU embossing folder! This technique was a lot of fun, but then again, watercoloring in ANY technique has been right up there with breathing since I discovered it!

Arn't those little photo corners fun? It's actually a scrap from a punched scallop oval that I cut. Waste not, want not.

birthday card

i used a piece of brown paper bag on this, wanna play "i spy"?

this turned out super cute, it's definatly on my "like" list. honestly, it's amazing how many projects i finish and end up not liking the results. this here, not one of 'em! lots going on, but there's no such this as too much.

baby & i have both been sick for the last couple of days, it was nice to get my fingers dirty. i love how i can jump into my hobby whenever i want. having a craft area in the house is so convenient. i'm so fortunate to be able to have a hobby. before i came across paper crafting, i was the person my family had wrapping all the gifts at Christmastime. that was pretty much the extent of my craftiness. i love it when God makes me blossom!

i stamped a flourish then went over it in a glitter pen.

girl is heat embossed in a clear gloss.

i inked the lace before bunching it up behind the patterned paper.

to cut the scallops, i took the guide off my slit punch and made it into a border punch.

Girl bday invite

Made this for my daughters birthday invitations. The only thing she cared about was pink glitter, and that image (girl walking the poodle). The image is from the stampin up set "she's all that". I stamped her in versamark ink and heat embossed her with a mixture of black embossing powder and pink glitter. I used 3 little dots of pink stickles on the edge of her paper. The sentiment, "let's party", is part of a michaels dollar bin acrylic set. I stamped it in pink and wrote over it with my sakura glitter pen. The edges of the black paper underneath are scalloped with my martha stewart rolling handheld scallopper. Patterned paper is k & co. Best place to get this is michaels with your 40% off coupon, just fyi. Ribbon is also from michaels. well she liked it, I think its adorable, let's hope they make it to the parents! Sent from Yahoo! Elegant embossing

Was going for a clean, simple card. Imagine that, I didn't really achieve it. I think the ivory embossing looks great with the neutral colors I chose, the lace goes perfect with the ivory, and that stamp is definitely the focal point. So not my original "vision", but sophisticated and kinda classy. Maybe I'll put this away until someone gets engaged or married....? Sent from Yahoo! Mail on Android

Thank you birdie card

CHALLENGE: use regular lined notebook paper on a card. Challenge complete. Super simple, cleaner than usual, thank you birdie card. Used markers to color the stamp to get the brown branch & green leaves. Heat embossed sentiment in black to make it stand out a bit. Sent from Yahoo! Mail on Android

girly fufu

So this is just me messing around. I've had this great chandelier acrylic set for over a year and this is the first time ive used it.
The paper I've had for YEARS. It's from the angel company. I have lots of papers from hem that are just gorgeous, I'm scared to use them!
I decided since I hadn't used he stamps or the paper, I had to embellished with something rarely used also. I picked the crimper.
Pretty colors, pretty stamp, I'd say it turned out ok!

This is a 5x5 card made out of white CS. Covered front withthe acknowledgement page of a vntage book on ladies fashion. Ink distressed edges with tim holtz walnut stain distress ink. Stamped flourishes are SU "baroque motifs" stamped in same ink. Glued vintage lace across card front. Flower is made out of vintage sheet music using cuttlebug & sizzix "flower layers #3" die and sprayed with starfish glimmer mist. Used vintage gold button in center.

Sentiment is SU "warments regards" stamped in walnut stain & embossed with pharoahs gold on scrap from book page. Ink distressed edges & mounted on scrap of red. Leaf is cut from a martha stewart magazineB embellished with brown feather.
